A BIT ABOUT BRYCE ROOT, OUR FOUNDER + MONETIZATION ARCHITECT
As a San Francisco Bay Area native, Bryce Root, Root Group Sports Content Marketing's Founder, started his sports career in Tacoma, Washington after graduating from Pacific Lutheran University in Exercise Science, as a professional cycling coach, working with top regional and national cyclists in road, mountain and cyclocross. Invited as Team Manager for the United States' first European World Cup Cyclocross Team in 1996 in the lead up to the Munich, Germany World Championships, this is where his love for cycling and endurance sports transitioned into making it a career.
After receiving his Masters Degree in Sports Business from top-ranked U.S. and worldwide program, University of San Francisco in 2001, he joined FCB Global, previously known as Foote, Cone & Belding's Sports Marketing Division where he also assisted their global advertising division working on high profile sports and consumer brand accounts.
While job offers in the next number of years took him outside of sports, Hispanic marketing and managing large scale event and destination marketing for one of the nation's top retail ownership groups was his focus. Given the opportunity to establish The Root Group in 2014 to help Bay Area companies as a marketing strategy consultant, it was in 2024 that he came full circle to return to his sports marketing roots. And this is when Root Group Marketing's Sports Content operation was born.
Having overseen multi-million dollar marketing budgets while also being a practitioner of all things video content strategy through out his career, his focus has always been on being tech-forward with the super power of staying on top of the many industries that shape how content evolves on a daily basis.
When off the clock, he's organizing underground 100 mile mountain bike adventure races, trying out new sports and monitoring the international sports content ecosystems that change at lightspeed.
